The Taskglass app
Taskglass reads system information such as running processes, CPU, memory, energy, temperatures and disk activity so it can show it to you. All of it, including the 30-day history, is stored locally on your Mac and is never uploaded.
- No account. You don't sign up or log in.
- No analytics or telemetry. The app contains no tracking or analytics SDKs.
- License activation. When you paste your key, the app sends the key and a device label to our payment provider, Polar, to register the activation and enforce the 3-Mac limit. It doesn't send your process list, history or usage data.
- Update checks. The app periodically downloads a small update feed from taskglass.app. Like any web request, this reveals your IP address and app version to our hosting provider. Optional system profiling in the updater is turned off.
- Crash reports. None are sent automatically.
This website
taskglass.app doesn't use cookies or advertising trackers. We count visits with Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses or personal data. It records the page, the site that linked to it, the country, the device type, and whether the Buy or Download button was clicked. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and user agent) for security and reliability.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Polar (polar.sh), our merchant of record. Polar collects the details needed to take payment, calculate tax and deliver your license key, such as your name, email address, billing country and payment details. We receive your email address and order details so we can support you. We never see your full card number. See Polar's privacy policy.
We only use your email address for your license, receipts and replies to your support requests. We don't sell or share it, and we don't send marketing email unless you ask for it.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time. Email hi@taskglass.app.
