Terms

Last updated November 5, 2026

These terms cover buying and using Taskglass, made by Xermio (xermio.com). They're written to be read, so they're short.

Your license

When you buy Taskglass you get a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it on up to 3 Macs that you own or use, for personal or work purposes. You can move a license between your Macs at any time by deactivating one first.

You may not resell, sublicense, or share your license key publicly, and you may not reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it.

Updates

Your purchase includes all 1.x updates. A future major version may be a paid upgrade. If so, existing owners will get a discount, and the version you bought keeps working.

Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by Polar (polar.sh), our merchant of record, which also handles sales tax and VAT. Polar's terms apply to the payment itself. Taskglass comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee; see the refund policy.

Launch pricing

During launch, prices follow a published ladder: the first 100 licenses cost $5, the next 150 cost $9, then $14. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout.

No warranty

Taskglass is provided “as is”. We work hard to make it accurate and reliable, but we can't guarantee it will be error-free, that every sensor is available on every Mac, or that it will keep working on every future version of macOS. Readings are informational; don't rely on them for safety-critical decisions.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to Taskglass is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we'll update the date above. The terms in effect when you bought your license continue to apply to that purchase.
