What is Electron on Mac?

By Junaid, maker of Taskglass · Last reviewed

An app built with Electron that hasn't been given its own name, often during development.

Electron is the framework many desktop apps are built with (Slack, VS Code, Discord and others). Finished apps normally rename it, so a process simply called 'Electron' is usually an app being developed or run from source, or a tool that kept the default name. Check its file path to see which app it belongs to.
