What is Figma on Mac?

By Junaid, maker of Taskglass · Last reviewed

The Figma design app and its helpers, including figma_agent for local fonts.

Figma's desktop app is built on Electron, so it runs Renderer, GPU and utility helpers. Large design files with many frames, images or components use a lot of memory and graphics power. figma_agent is a small background helper that lets Figma use fonts installed on your Mac.
