What is WebKit process?

By Junaid, maker of Taskglass · Last reviewed

A WebKit process that shows web content for Safari or another app.

WebKit is Apple's web engine, used by Safari and by any app that shows web content (Mail, the App Store and many third-party apps). It splits work into separate processes for web content, networking and graphics, for security and stability. Activity reflects what the web pages in that app are doing.
