What is assistantd (Siri) on Mac?

By Junaid, maker of Taskglass · Last reviewed

Siri's background service, which handles your requests to Siri.

assistantd is the daemon that enables Siri features, and Siri is the process for Siri's on-screen interface. They're active when you use Siri and may do some background work. If Siri is turned off in System Settings, they're usually quiet.
