By Junaid, maker of Taskglass · Last reviewed

  • Syncing a large address book from iCloud, Google or Exchange
  • Background maintenance after a macOS update
  • An app reading contacts repeatedly

What to do

  1. 1Let sync finish
  2. 2Check which apps have contacts access in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Contacts
  3. 3Restart your Mac

Safe to quit? With care.

macOS relaunches it; contacts may briefly not load in apps.
