What is launchd_sim on Mac?

By Junaid, maker of Taskglass · Last reviewed

The launchd for a simulated device; each booted simulator has its own.

launchd_sim is the simulated device's equivalent of launchd: it starts and manages the background services inside a booted iOS, iPadOS, watchOS or other simulator. You'll see one per booted simulated device, along with many of that device's services. It disappears when the simulated device shuts down.
